The Test - PGM: Knights of Valor 9D
464 Megs

The Knights of Valor series(there are 4) are not know very well in the USA, but in the Asian market these are by far the most famous PGM titles, and very well known.  KOV9D was released in the middle of 2001 and is a polished up version of the original KOV2.

It is hard to separate yourself from how good this game is to give a hardware review.  The graphics are incredible, the sound is intense and lush, and the animation is butter smooth.  I have never seen the PGM board slowdown regardless of the enemies onscreen.  If I could knock the system for one thing it would be the lack of stereo sound output.  Now, 95% of jamma cabinets don't support stereo anyway, but its a nice option to have, especially since the Neo Candy cabs are stereo able.

The PGM definitely has the goods when it comes to power.  I guess that is an advantage you should have being 7 years junior to the Neo Geo.
