NeoGeoFreak / NGF-USA
in collaborations directly with SNK of Japan, FACE Co. Ltd, and ARUZE Corp. have come to agreements for NGF-USA to be the exclusive distributor world-wide of this wonderful AES cartridge. We've successfully negotiated for the release rights of this title. As part of this agreement, FACE Co. Ltd has granted us full AES production rights, complete with all original art files sent to us on MOs, positives, with original proof sheets, and screen captures all for the intended 1994 release of this game. This will be a full English only release.

This is the first in the line of NeoGeoFreak AES only titles provided directly via the original programming company and through ARUZE Corp. We are bringing the original lower price standards and "American made pride" back home.

The cartridge cases, cartridge boards, cartridge boxes, etc... are all new, exact, and fully original - NeoGeo.
This is a 100% fully original and authentic NeoGeo AES cartridge, at a price that everyone can enjoy.

To provide worry free service, all the cartridges will have the official NeoGeoFreak/NGF-USA fully transferable and lifetime warranty on them and the insert will have the NGF stamp on the back as to prove it's authenticity and quality. These features alone will raise the value of the games. If it doesn't have the NGF stamp of authenticity on it... then you should question it's legitimacy. Just as PSA and other symbols add and provide authenticity and value to other items, the NGF stamp of authenticity will provide years of hassle free buying, selling, and trading.

Q: When can we see pictures of the game? (Zupapa pic is now online)
A: The proofs should be back before the end of November for display of the insert, sticker, manual.
Turn-around times vary from coast to coast and place to place. We have already sent off all digital
files to the professional print shop that handled all the past work for NeoGeo art for the last 6 years.

Q: So everything is being made in the USA, not Japan?
A: YES. That is how all NeoGeo games have been done. Just like you, we once were told and we once thought that AES cartridges came complete from SNK-Japan, with art already packaged in and on the cartridges. Nothing can be further from the truth. At first, all games sent from Japan were packaged as "Japanese" cartridges. SNK-USA would just sloppily and lazily apply English stickers on top and over the existing Japanese stickers, without even bothering to remove them. They would also simply toss out the original Japanese insert and manual since it was no longer needed, and because they were not allowed to sell those Japanese pieces in the United States.
Later on, games were sent "blank." Meaning just cartridge and box. No insert. No manual. No sticker. This cut down on shipping costs and on the double labor (one from SNK-Japan and one from SNK-USA). SNK-USA would receive all the art needed to print up the inserts, manuals, and stickers. All items were printed in the USA and then affixed to the cartridges at the SNK-USA warehouse. That is why there was always a lag time from the Japanese release and the English release. And now, we'll be doing the same thing. We care about the NeoGeo, so we'll do it fast and we'll do it right. And we'll do everything exactly as it was intended. 100% original, 100% authorized, and 100% OFFICIAL!
In short, the game parts (casing, boards, outer box) are all coming from Japan, as is the digital files for the art. But everything is being printed and applied in the good old United States of America.

Q: Any chance for a Japanese version?
A: We're only producing the English version. Since we are NeoGeoFreak / NGF-USA, we will only make official English versions. It is something we pride ourselves on. But if you're a collector or a gamer, you should still just want to own the game to play it. A lot of English collectors have gotten stuck with "Japanese only" packaged AES carts, so now we are blessing those persistent Neo fans with the answers to their prayers......"English only" AES carts.

Q: What makes this game so special?
A: More than you might think. What most people don't know is that NGF has known of this game since 1994. We first heard the rumors of a game that was coming out called "Zupapa" from a then unknown third party company called "Face." Nothing was ever shown. No screen shots, no description, no stills, no artwork, no logo, NOTHING! After that, we just put that game away as a possible "rumored title" or maybe as a "working name" for a game that was later released. It wasn't until early in 2001 that we finally were given an evaluation copy direct from the now defunct SNK of Japan. They were considering releasing 4 of their previously "unreleased" or "lost games." And they wanted NeoGeoFreak / NGF-USA to evaluate which we thought would sell well, and would have a possible chance of success. The games they sent us to evaluate were Zupapa, Bang Busters, Last Odyssey, Crossed Swords 2, Warlocks of the Fates, Zintrick, and Ghostlop. Of all those titles, the strongest were Zupapa, Zintrick, Ghostlop, and Last Odyssey (in that order). So our first recommendation was for Zupapa. Zupapa is fun, fast, colorful, and just right in terms of control and difficulty. The graphics are magnificent and the action is deep, yet playable. All in all, a very strong title that could do quite well in today's market. Couple that with the fact that the game was from 1994, and you can see what and why this game is so special and why we know it will be a big hit and an instant quick seller.
